There is a strange hint here of a John Singer Sargent portrait of a woman. The stance and attitude and the state of the clothing of your subject are at first as far from Sargent as could be imagined - but then I see a hint of Sargent in the blacks, and then even in the way she is standing. This may be intentional on your part or not. But to me, the effect of your own highly distinct rendering with the Sargentesque allure is really stunning. This, like all your other pictures, is fine, fine work.
Who ARE you??? I can't tell you enough how much I'm enjoying watching you this year...you're really stretching, trying new things, exploring...and finding new depths to your art. It's such a TREAT! You started with a very talented eye and great technical skills, and watching you now reach out and explore the expressive side of your talent is just. sheer. joy!
Keep going, keep going, keep going!
And thanks for taking us with you on your journey!
Thank you very much Kari. I really appreciate your comments and believe that every person or artist who respect himself/herself must have the attitude to explore and learn new things. Also DA is a inspiration paradise. Thank you again dear.
